We are always asked how to fire up the Rüegg® Surprise properly. We also made a little video for it.

We recommend building a pyre: 2 lengthways, 2 across, 2 lengthways, something small on top and then light from above.

Advantages:

• faster high temperatures on the grill plates
• less smoke
• longer clean discs

Important:

• Firewood quality wood
• Circumference approx. 20-25cm
• Residual moisture 20% or less
